Facial Aesthetics

Facial aesthetics treatments are minimally invasive, yet highly effective for skin rejuvenation. Through medical and functional cosmetic treatments including Botox®, Dysport®, Restylane®, Perlane® and Juvederm®, patients of Southwestern Pennsylvania Eye Center can enjoy the benefits of effective in-office procedures that often lead to a quick recovery. Whether you’re interested in enhancing features such as lips and cheekbones or decreasing wrinkles and unwanted folds, facial aesthetics can instantly refresh your appearance. Our rejuvenation procedures can create a natural looking glow, reduce lines and enhance youthful fullness with lip, chin and cheek volume enhancements.

Botox is used cosmetically to treat dynamic wrinkles of the face. These lines occur as the face moves. Botox acts by decreasing the movement of muscles and thus reducing wrinkle formation. The most frequent areas for the use of cosmetic Botox are above and between the brows and the “crows’ feet” on the outer corner of the eyes.

Cosmetic fillers are helpful in treating static wrinkles. These are lines on the face that are present even when the face is not moving. These include the nasolabial folds between the nose and the mouth, and marionette lines between the sides of the mouth and the chin. Fillers can also be used to build up the cheeks or to fill in hollowness in the lower eyelids (the tear trough). Cosmetic fillers are also used to augment the lips, without making them look unnaturally large. Depending on your specific needs, our physicians will recommend the right type of filler for your specific area of concern.

At Southwestern Pennsylvania Eye Center, we understand the importance of a customized procedure and treatments that compliment the unique details that make your face beautiful. Our medical professionals lead by Dr. Jennifer Davis are trained in applying advanced facial aesthetic techniques and helping patients feel at ease throughout the entire process. Many patients seek treatments to eliminate or reduce forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, smile lines, marionette lines and vertical lines around the mouth.

Trends in cosmetic procedures are increasingly favoring subtle changes that use the patient’s natural facial structure to enhance features.
